A PLACE TO RETURN TO

Most meaningful work is difficult to do alone. Even capable, thoughtful people can spend years moving from responsibility to responsibility without a place to speak honestly, test their assumptions, or be reminded of what matters. The Business Monk Community is a place to return to between the demands of ordinary life. Here, people study serious ideas, reflect on real experience, and learn alongside others who are also trying to live and lead with greater wisdom. It is not networking, therapy, or a passive content library. It is a steady community of practice: a place to be challenged, encouraged, and accompanied as you become more deliberate about the life you are building.

Study

Practice

Practice

We study ideas slowly enough to understand what they ask of us. Through reading, listening, questioning, and dialogue, members develop language for the challenges they face and clearer ways to interpret life, work, and responsibility.

Practice

We practice where ideas matter most: in decisions, habits, relationships, conflict, health, and work. Members test the material in real life, return with honest evidence, and gradually turn insight into steadier judgment, action, and character.

Serve

Practice

Serve

We serve by bringing what we learn back to others with generosity, honesty, and care. Through welcome, coordination, facilitation, teaching, and leadership, members help strengthen the community while becoming useful to the people around them.

Stronger Together

Each year, The Business Monk opens one Cohort for each program it offers. Everyone enrolled in that program belongs to the same shared journey: they follow the same Curriculum, move through the same Learning Loops, attend the same quarterly Workshops, and are invited to the same Retreat and year-end Ceremony. Within that Cohort, members are placed in Circles: stable online groups that meet every two weeks to discuss, question, and apply the work together. The program becomes more powerful because participants are no longer moving through it alone. One by one, chapters are explored, relationships are formed, and lives are changed for the better.

Walking The Business Monk Path

Members embrace specific roles that evolve over time. Guests explore the work. Learners undertake a specific curriculum. Holders have already completed a program. Coordinators support logistics and attendance. Teachers guide Circles. Masters train teachers and develop the curriculum. The structure is simple but efficient: Circles progress mindfully through every Learning Loops until knowledge is consolidated with a hands-on Workshop. Retreats mix rich, intensive sessions with room to breathe and relax. Certification camps recognize the progress made officially while the end of year Ceremony beautifully marks the end of the cohort.

The Right Level of Engagement

Not everyone needs the same relationship to the work. Some people begin from a distance, through a Book, Podcast, or Seminar. Others want regular contact, shared study, and a place that feels familiar, so they join the Community. Some are ready for deeper application through Workshops, Retreats, and Certification. A few need direct, confidential guidance through One-on-One Counsel. Each format offers a different level of proximity, commitment, and support. The deeper the participant engages, the more transformation becomes possible. But the path remains open at every distance. You simply start where you are.
